Self-worth and forgetting

I think that this ties in with Elsewhere because Liz has to realize that she can't change what happened to her so she has to accept herself as how she is.  At first in the story Liz din't care what people thought of her. But as she got used to being there it changed and now she does care. She hates the fact that she is dead and she doesn't get to see her family. She needed to accept the fact she was dead. She needed to accept herself.
I like this quote  because it has a lot to do with the novel. Liz dies. She loses everything she had. She has to basically start over. She remembers all that happened to her, and it hurts that she can never relive it. She needs to learn to forget it, and realize its never gonna go back to the way it was. She doesn't have to forget it all, like the quote says, but she doesn't have to remember the minor details. Remembering too much will  just hurt her even more.
