The first quote is shows that some teens who are hurt in anyway are okay. The bruises and cuts are what makes them who they are, it tells their story from a different point of view. The second quote shows that even though Liz life was short doesn't mean that her life was not important.The third quote means, she wonders why she died, why her? Why not somebody else? Even though she died,she died for reason and that led her to Elsewhere which changed her outlook on life forever. She thought that her life was over when she died, all her hopes and dreams were gone in a split second. But her life was not over ,it was just beginning

 I like this quote because it explains what Liz was thinking. She remembered when she was alive that just a few months ago she was picking out a shirt for her father. She could not believe that she was dead. So much happened in just a year that when she looks back she feels like time flew by .

When Liz did not expect to die she thought she could not do anything about it that there was no way to change what happened. When Liz died it did change the way she looked on life.
